  I used to love this place, still do really, but some hillbilly bought the marina and turned it into a dump. The Corp of Engineers stopped dredging the channel out to the Mississippi in an attempt to get him to move out but no luck. Kind of a rough, shallow way out to the river now but for small canoes and yaks, not as wind and wave problems as launching in Savanna. Can leave your vehicle there overnight and camp on the beautiful islands. Look at a map to see how to find the main channel from here or you will wander a long time. Outhouse. Water service not on for my last visit. This marina was beautiful and fun back in the 1970s and 80's. Sad.
